For Want of a Cable

A different week, a different venue, different stereo. What's it all mean? Mostly that you, dear reader, don't get to listen to this weeks record club. We had a fun theme in "Obscenities, implied or otherwise". There were two Prince tunes played, some Nine Inch Nails, Circle Jerks and Nina Simone as well. I played a set completely comprised of comedy tracks, which included local legend Elmer Fudpucker Senior. We also said hello to new record clubber -- Ryan Nelson, who provided one of the Prince tracks, as well as some well-received Berlin. Kirsten rounded out the evening with a fun balanced set which included a great Cyndi Lauper track off of "She's so Unusual".

Next weeks theme -- "Instrumentals", should be pretty open to interpretation, hopefully inspiring a few sub-themes. We'll do our damnedest to get the podcast back up and rolling so we stop getting all of that hurtful, nasty email. In lieu of a podcast, I put together a few "Obscene" album covers for your enjoyment. It's not the same, I know, but cut me a little slack, ok?
